It is a proud day at Hypo Hounds, and a big congratulations is in order.
Team Chip and Team Aurora have both passed their exams, and the two dogs are now fully accredited assistance dogs. What a wonderful achievement.
Aurora's success is extra special. She is our very first medical therapy assistance dog, and we could not be prouder of her, especially given her change of role along the way. It just goes to show that every dog is capable of doing a job, given the right support and the chance to find their calling.
This kind of milestone is never the work of one. Well done to both teams for their hard work and dedication, and an enormous thank you to the foster parents and trainers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring both dogs up to the high standards we expect.
Here's to Chip and Aurora, and the lives they will go on to change.
